Poem: Wonder

Wonder

If snowflakes prioritize landings

best spot - line a branch with

their friends

icing perfection

dread falling into  mouths

gaped holes, warm tongues

instant death

plunged into pool

crystallized

ice chill

swirled onto asphalt

pulverized by trucks

converted to dirty slush

lacy free fall

fate

  1. If I were a snowflake, I think I'd want to settle in the shade, as part of a big drift, so I can last a little longer, or become a part of a child's first snowman.

    Happy weekend!

  2. I wonder where a snowflake's ideal landing place is. Probably not on my tongue!
